Plan Your Project
If you have identifed an overseas project you can register your own RAWCS project.
Why A RAWCS Project
- Tax-deductability - all approved RAWCS projects are tax-deductable
- Expertise - the RAWCS Western Region is a group of experienced Rotarians who can help you with support, advice, and we have a warehouse of materials available to be sent overseas (donations in kind).
- Volunteers - if you have people who would like to visit your project then under specific conditions they can be registered as volunteers. Volunteers will be covered by RAWCS insurance and there are other advantages (please see Rotary Volunteering)
RAWCS Conditions
In order to qualify to be a RAWCS project you need
- Identify and articulate the project that you want to register, you need to consider who it will help, it's sustainability and how long the project is expected to take.
- Support/sponsorship from a local Rotary club
- A Rotary club at the project destination to liaise and work with
- Ability to meet the RAWCS reporting requirements
Starting Your Project
- Download and complete the application form (available here)
- Email the completed form with all the necessary signatures from your club, district representative and the overseas club to JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING . If you have concerns or questions contact the Project Manager at JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING
- You will be contacted when your project has been approved and you will be invited to provide a short précis of your project that we will upload to our site.
Ongoing Requirement
You are required to complete a short report every 6 months that can be completed and submitted on-line to JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING or downloaded, completed and sent to RAWCS.
Financial requirements. Any sponsorship funds must be sent to the RAWCS treasurer to be deposit into the bank account and it must then be sent to your project overseas. Donations can be made either by Paypal, direct deposit or by cheque with a donation form
Finalise Your Project
At the conclusion of your project you must complete a final report and also ensure that all the funds are accounted. Any unspent funds can not be withdrawn from RAWCS but can be donated to other current RAWCS project.
